I love the work I do. I help women navigate the important milestones of their lives—from the time they start their periods, to the birth of their children, and then on through menopause.
I was drawn to medicine at a young age. I made the decision in college to pursue women’s health because it provided a very unique challenge, and I wanted to help women with the challenges they face throughout their lives. I want to empower them to be as healthy as they can be.
My practice is exciting because I have the privilege of being involved in so many aspects of a woman’s care- educating them about their health, helping them deliver their children, and performing helpful gynecological surgeries. Each part of that continuum of care brings joy and satisfaction.
As a doctor, I strive to be a good listener and empathetic towards my patients. Being a good doctor doesn’t just mean knowing the medical aspects, but listening and communicating to your patients well. This is necessary to develop a treatment plan together. My goal is to provide patient focused care with an emphasis on prevention and treatment of women's health issues. I believe in maintaining a successful patient relationship and giving the best patient education so that they can make an informed decision about their health. I came to NorthBay Healthcare because it is a place that provides great care and always puts patients first. The staff is great, and the Labor & Delivery nurses are outstanding.
When I am not at work, I like to do things that help me stay healthy. Growing up in California, being outdoors is essential to me. I love being outside, hiking, exploring new places, traveling, cooking, snowboarding, and spending time with my family. I think work-life balance is very important and NorthBay Healthcare promotes just that.
