I was inspired to study medicine because of my grandfather who was also a family medicine physician. I share his passion for understanding the pathophysiology of medicine and enjoy the challenge of problem-solving, including investigating the socioeconomic and psychological factors that may contribute to patients’ medical illnesses. By listening to his patients and being their strongest advocate, my grandfather made such a huge impact on their health and quality of life. I hope to make a similar difference in my patients’ lives.
When patients come to see me, they can expect their concerns to be heard and taken seriously. I am very caring, approachable and a good listener. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their lifestyles and take great pride in earning their trust.
The age range of patients I see is from 2 years and up. Some of the typical problems I see are chronic conditions of hypertension, diabetes, asthma, heart failure, COPD, women’s health, musculoskeletal problems, and rashes. In addition, I love addressing preventative health including screening for cancers, maintaining immunizations, addressing obesity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle via diet and exercise.
My goal as a physician is to assess and treat the whole patient, including body, mind and spirit.
Outside of work, I love to travel, hike, watch movies, bake, and hang out with friends and family.
