Oncologist/Hematologist Profile

My goal is to build a trusting and caring relationship with each of my patients. I find that oncology patients need this relationship to help them cope with the many issues that can arise during the course of cancer treatment.

My patients describe me as a warm-hearted person, who genuinely cares about their health and is compassionate about their needs. What I enjoy most is building long-term relationships with my patients and helping them get the most out of their treatment. I also like applying scientific information in a personal setting.

As a practicing hematologist and oncologist with more than 10 years of experience, I understand the anxiety and stress patients experience after being diagnosed with cancer. My mission is to minimize this stress and help provide both the emotional and professional support that everybody needs when given a cancer diagnosis.

As the medical director for the NorthBay cancer clinical trials program, I am also able to help my patients participate in clinical trials through our affiliation with Stanford University and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) consortium. At the NorthBay Cancer Center, we also care for people with a variety of blood conditions including anemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, platelet and clotting disorders.

I know that many people in Solano County are concerned about cancer running in their family and don't have access to adequate cancer genetic counseling services. To serve our community better, I received training in hereditary cancer risk assessment through the City of Hope.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my four children, running, reading, mushroom hunting and singing. My wife and I love to hike.

Accepted Health Plans

Below is a list of plans accepted by all NorthBay Health providers unless designated as an independent community doctor.

While we strive to keep this list up to date, it's always a good idea to check with your health plan to determine the specific details of your coverage, and to contact the provider's office to verify acceptance of your particular plan.
