What is the NorthBay Provider Portal?
Use the NorthBay Provider Portal to access and share patient health information with other doctors, hospitals or other service providers. It makes it easy to collaborate, so you can share treatment information and patient demographic data. The portal will be rolled out in phases.
In Phase 1
You’ll have access to:
- Hospital discharge summaries and instructions.
- Notice after your patient is seen at one of NorthBay Health’s Emergency Departments in Fairfield and Vacaville.
- Improved communication with other providers and office staff.
In Phase 2
You’ll have access to:
- Real-time lab results, clinical reports and other documents.
- Radiology, X-ray, MRI, CT, EKG, pathology, cardiology, catheterization and operative reports.
- See chart updates made for your patient by other providers.
- Information from remote locations by smartphone.

Access to the NorthBay Provider Portal is by invitation only. If interested in the Provider Portal, please contact your NorthBay contact to learn more. Additional Information
Because the NorthBay Provider Portal functions under HIPAA requirements, the use of patient health information on this platform does not require patient consent if the information is limited to use for treatment, payment and operations. HIPAA does require patients be notified of the privacy policies of the practice, though. Your current practice privacy notification may cover the NorthBay Provider Portal.
